Additional Talkbacks Set for The Originalist, About Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg will take part in a conversation about her late colleague, among many other guests.

59E59 Theaters announced additional talkbacks in conjunction with its upcoming production of The Originalist.

As previously announced, US Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg will join director Molly Smith for a special postshow conversation immediately following the matinee performance on Sunday, July 29. The conversation will revolve around Justice Ginsburg's former colleague, the late Justice Antonin Scalia, and themes related to the production.

Written by John Strand, The Originalist is described as follows: "When a bright, liberal, Harvard Law School graduate embarks on a nerve-wracking clerkship with the conservative Justice, she discovers him to be both an infuriating sparring partner and an unexpected mentor. How will their relationship affect one of the most incendiary cases ever to reach the nation's highest court?"

Edward Gero reprises his performance as Justice Scalia, which he originated at Washington, DC's Arena Stage during the play's 2015 world premiere. Tracy Ifeachor (CW's Legends of Tomorrow) joins him as Cat, Justice Scalia's law clerk and sparring partner, with Brett Mack rounding out the cast.

The Originalist runs through Sunday, August 19.
