Aaron Tveit Will Return to Moulin Rouge! 15 More Times Before It Closes

Tony-winning original cast member Aaron Tveit will return to the role of Christian in Moulin Rouge! at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre for 15 more performances ahead of its closing.

Tveit will play all shows August 18-29; however, at the closing performance on Sunday, August 30, the role will be played by Christian Douglas, its current portrayer.

Since first bringing the role to life in the musical’s 2018 world premiere run in Boston, Tveit has returned to the production on multiple occasions, most recently in the summer of 2024.

Moulin Rouge! The Musical is directed by Alex Timbers, with a book by John Logan, choreography by Sonya Tayeh, and music supervision, orchestrations and arrangements by Justin Levine. The design team includes Derek McLane (sets), Catherine Zuber (costumes), Justin Townsend (lighting), Peter Hylenski (sound), David Brian Brown (wig and hair design), Sarah Cimino (make-up design), and Matt Stine (music producer).
