Two Girls, a new play inspired by the infamous Brazilian scat porn video known as 2 Girls 1 Cup, will premiere this fall at A24’s Cherry Lane Theatre.

The work is created by the team behind the recent off-Broadway hit Dad Don’t Read This: playwright Eliya Smith, director Chloe Claudel, and experimental troupe The Goat Exchange. The play is directed by Goat Exchange founders Claudel and Mitchell Polonsky, and stars Claudel and Juliana Sass.

Two Girls uses “verbatim dialogue to construct a strange, irreverent examination of sex, disgust and the body. This darkly funny two-hander explores what we look at as we develop our sexualities and why we can’t look away.”

In addition, Cherry Lane Theatre will present a New York return engagement of Milo Cramer’s acclaimed School Pictures, which ran in 2023 at Playwrights Horizons. Written and performed by Cramer and directed by Morgan Green, the piece is about the New York City school system and the pubescent students Cramer once tutored.

School Pictures and Two Girls will be presented nightly, with the former at 7pm and the latter at 9:30. Previews begin October 7 ahead of an October 18 opening.
