Alan Cumming to Star in Escape to Donegal Film

Alan Cumming will star in the film Escape to Donegal, to be directed by Jonathan Blistein, according to Variety. The film, which is, set in a dystopian future, will feature a screenplay by Chris Minori.

Cumming, who was recently named an OBE by Queen Elizabeth II, won the Tony Award for Cabaret. His many other stage credits include The Threepenny Opera, The Bacchae, Design for Living, and Elle.

The actor’s many film credits include X2, Sweet Land, Josie and the Pussycats, Titus, and Nicholas Nickleby. He will be seen shortly as Sebastian in Julie Taymor’s film version of The Tempest.
