Atlantic Theater Company has announced the three premieres and one revival planned for its 2013-2014 season, which will kick off with the world premiere of a new play by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Ethan Coen (No Country for Old Men).

Ethan Coen's Women or Nothing will be directed by David Cromer and play August 28-October 6. Coen's first full-length play, Women or Nothing, tells the story of two women who are so desperate to have a child together that one of them will even sleep with a man.

Kicking off 2014, Atlantic will present the American premiere of The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner by Alan Sillitoe, with a stage adaptation by Roy Williams. In this version of the classic short story, Williams brings the young, defiant Colin Smith into the 21st century, where he finds himself in a prison school.

The spring will bring a Martha Clarke-helmed revival of Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill's The Threepenny Opera, in an English adaptation by Marc Blitzstein, as well as the world premiere of Stephen Adly Guirgis' Between Riverside and Crazy. In this new play, ex-cop and recent widower Walter Pops Washington and his ex-con son Junior struggle to hold on to one of the last great old rent-stabilized apartments on Riverside Drive.

Atlantic Theater Company is a 27-year-old award-winning off-Broadway theater that aims to keep the story of a play and the intent of its playwright at the core of the creative process. Their plays are performed in repertory using an artistic ensemble.
