Tovah Feldshuh, Kate Shindle to Perform Guest Cameos at NYMF’s R.R.R.E.D.

Celebrity guest cameos have been announced for the New York Musical Theatre Festival show, R.R.R.E.D. A Secret Musical, performing at the 45th Street Theater. Four-time Tony nominee Tovah Feldshuh will appear at the Friday, October 2, 1pm and 11pm performances, and will sing a song specifically written for her. Kate Shindle will perform at the Thursday, October 1 at 8pm and Saturday, October 3 at 11pm performances.

Featuring music and lyrics by Katie Thompson, with book by Adam Jackman, Patrick Livingston and Thompson, the musical is based on a true study that predicts that the recessive gene which causes red hair will cease to exist by the year 2100. Now, in the year 2009, a secret red-headed revolutionary organization is taking matters into its own hands, fighting back against their pending extinction & standing up for the rights of red-heads everywhere.

The regular cast features Nathan Balser, Kathy Deitch, and co-authors Livingston and Thompson. The creative team includes Charlie Corcoran (sets), Herrick Goldman, (lighting), David Mendizabal (costumes), Megan Henniger (sound), and luckydave (projections).
