Playwright Paula Vogel will be interviewed by David Finkle, senior theater critic for TheaterMania.com, in the next program of TheaterMania’s continuing series of talks with theater professionals at the Ars Nova theater on Sunday, October 24 at 6pm. She will discuss her career and, in particular, the Signature Theatre Company’s current, season-long retrospective celebration of her work.

Vogel, whose play The Oldest Profession has just finished its limited run at Signature and whose The Baltimore Waltz will begin previews there on November 16, won the 1998 Pulitzer Prize as well as Drama Desk, Lucille Lortel, New York Critics Circle and Outer Critics Circle best-play awards for How I Learned to Drive. The recipient of many other citations for her various plays, Vogel directs the Master of Fine Arts playwriting program at Brown University and numbers several prize-winners among her students.

Ars Nova is located at 511 West 54th Street, between 10th and 11th avenues. Tickets for the October 24 program are available at $10 in advance, $15 at the door; they may be purchased by clicking here or by calling 212-868-4444.
