Stephanie Umoh will take over the role of Eve in the new musical Falling for Eve from August 3 until the show's scheduled closing on Sunday, August 8. Larry Raben directs the production, presented by The York Theatre Company. Umoh replaces Krystal Joy Brown, who will be leaving the production to work on an upcoming project.

Featuring a book by 2010 Tony Award winner Joe DiPietro, music by Bret Simmons, and lyrics by David Howard, the show offers an unconventional retelling of the story of Adam and Eve, filled with unexpected twists and turns.

The company also features Jennifer Blood, Nehal Joshi, Adam Kantor, Jose Llana, and Sasha Sloan.

The creative team includes Lee Martino (musical staging), Kim Steiner (musical direction), Beowulf Boritt (scenic design), Bobby Pearce (costume design), and Herrick Goldman (lighting design).

Umoh recently starred on Broadway as Sarah in Ragtime, for which she received a 2010 Theatre World Award. Additional credits include Tin Pan Alley Rag, Mona, and Luck.
