Stephanie J. Block, Andrew Rannells, and More Will Celebrate Fiddler at 50

A gala concert of ”Fiddler on the Roof” will honor Sheldon Harnick at Symphony Space.

Symphony Space will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the classic musical Fiddler on the Roof with Fiddler at 50, a gala concert honoring the show's lyricist, Sheldon Harnick, on April 28.

Hosted by BD Wong, the evening will feature performances by Broadway veterans Kate Baldwin (Big Fish), Stephanie J. Block (Little Miss Sunshine), Len Cariou (Blue Bloods), Linda Lavin (The Lyons), Megan McGinnis (Little Women), jazz singer Jane Monheit, Andrew Rannells (Girls), and Leslie Uggams (On Golden Pond).
Violinist Christian Hebel will perform the role of the Fiddler. Fiddler on the Roof, which premiered on Broadway in 1964, features lyrics by Harnick, music by Jerry Bock, and a book by Joseph Stein.

Fiddler at 50 is produced and directed by Jim Caruso and John McDaniel, and the gala is cochaired by Lenore Davis and Amy Wilson. The evening will take place at Capitale on Manhattan's Lower East Side.
