Rudetsky to Host Queer Songbook Benefit Concert at LGBT Community Center

Seth Rudetsky will host a concert titled Queer Songbook: A New Generation of Broadway Composers at the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center, located at 208 West 13th Street (between Seventh and Eighth avenues), on Monday, October 4. A pre-performance reception will begin at 6:30pm and the concert will begin at 7pm. Proceeds will benefit the LGBT Center.


The program of the concert, subject to change, is to include Shoshana Bean singing from Andrew Lippa’s new musical, A Little Princess; Melba Moore reprising “I Got Love” from the musical Purlie; Robert Bartley premiering a song from Douglas J. Cohen’s upcoming The Opposite of Sex; and Karen Mason singing a song by the late Brian Lasser. There will also be performances by Tom Andersen, Michael Arden, Lisa Brescia, Jennifer Cody, Adam Fleming, Barrett Foa, Eric Michael Gillett, John Hill, Cheyenne Jackson, Alix Korey, Mark Nadler, Meredith Patterson, Billy Porter, Paige Price, Robb Sapp, KT Sullivan, John Tartaglia, and Rachel York. The concert’s producer and musical director is Michael Lavine.
