President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama are expected to attend tonight's performance of Lorraine Hansberry's A Raisin in the Sun at the Barrymore Theatre, Deadline reports.

Directed by Kenny Leon, the drama stars Denzel Washington as Walter Lee Younger, LaTanya Richardson Jackson as Lena Younger, Sophie Okonedo as Ruth Younger, and Anika Noni Rose as Beneatha Younger. The production officially opened on April 3.

The Obama family have been frequent attendees of Broadway shows in the past. The President and First Lady took in a performance of the 2009 Broadway revival of Joe Turner's Come and Gone, and the First Lady has seen Memphis, The Addams Family, The Trip to Bountiful, and Motown The Musical with daughters Sasha and Malia.

Spokespeople for A Raisin in the Sun had no comment about the Obamas' expected attendance at the performance.
