Actor Christopher Tierney announced his return to the company of Broadway's Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark at a press conference Monday, April 25. Tierney, who was injured after a full during the December 20 performance, joins the rest of the cast currently in rehearsals for a new version of the musical, which is to begin performances at the Foxwoods Theatre on May 12, with an opening date currently set for June 14.

"I can't wait to put on the harness," Tierney told the assembled media, noting that it has been four months since the accident. He said his recovery was owed to a program developed specifically for his body by Dr. Edythe Heus of Revolution in Motion, a physical therapy and exercise firm.

Tierney also noted that he remembers bits and pieces of his accident, including the impact, blacking out and waking up with everyone surrounding him.

Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark is inspired by over 40 years of Marvel comic books. It follows the story of teenager Peter Parker, whose unremarkable life is turned upside-down when he's bitten by a genetically altered spider and must learn that with great powers comes great responsibility.
