Once Upon A Mattress Starring Jackie Hoffman and Lypsinka Set for Abrons Arts Center Season

Abrons Arts Center has announced its 2015-16 season, a lineup composed almost entirely of premieres.
The season's theater offerings will include the Queer New York International Arts Festival (September 16-26); the world premiere of internationally acclaimed director/puppeteer Basil Twist's Sisters’ Follies: Between Two Worlds (October 1-31); Just Like a Woman, Abrons' collaboration with London's Live Art Development Agency (LADA) and Chelsea Theatre (October 23-25); Eliza Bent's Manhattan premiere of Toilet Fire: Rectums in the Rectory (October 28-November 15); Pike St., Nilaja Sun's first solo show since her the OBIE Award-winning No Child (November 11- December 6); Transport Group’s revival of Once Upon a Mattress, starring Jackie Hoffman and Lypsinka (November 22-January 3); Juliana Francis-Kelly’s new play, The Reenactors (November 25-December 12); Erin Markey’s A Ride On The Irish Cream (January 13-31); Target Margin Theater’s Drunken With What (February 10-28); the world premiere of New York City Players’ /Really/ by Jackie Sibblies Drury (March 16-April 2); Irish theatre company Pan Pan's The Seagull and Other Birds (March 23-April 2); the North American premiere of Sven Ratzke’s STARMAN (March 24 – April 3); the New York City premiere of Aaron Landsman’s Empathy School and Love Story (April 20-30); and the world premiere of Shaun Irons & Lauren Petty’s Why Why Always (April 20-30).
The Abrons Arts Center is the performing and visual arts program of Henry Street Settlement. The Abronsaims to support the creation and presentation of innovative, multi-disciplinary work; cultivate artists in all stages of their practice; and serve as an intersection of engagement for local, national and international audiences and arts-workers.
