Veteran Broadway general manager Nathan Gehan has announced the launch of a new production and general-management company, Fifth Estate Entertainment, for which he will serve as president.

Gehan has spent 20 years working for leading Broadway general-management and producing firms, offering his expertise to productions such as The Play That Goes Wrong, The Boys in the Band, Something Rotten!, Motown the Musical, Legally Blonde, A View From the Bridge, Spamalot, and many more.

"I believe the timing is right for a brand-new production company handling many different types of productions both on tour and in New York City," Gehan said in a statement. "Our extensive experience and passion for the industry will pave the way for Fifth Estate to offer producers and industry professionals a different approach to doing business in the commercial theatre industry."

Gehan will be joined at Fifth Estate by Michael Fiske and Caleigh Holmes. Their inaugural production will be the 10th anniversary tour of Rock of Ages starting in October, and the company will be the general manager for the upcoming world premiere of Looking for Christmas: The New Clint Black Christmas Musical at the Old Globe in San Diego.
