Due to popular demand, Summoners Ensemble Theatre has added three more performances to its production of A Christmas Carol at Merchant's House Museum. Originally scheduled to close on December 27, there will now be shows on Saturday, December 30, at 7pm, and on Sunday, December 31, at 4pm and 6:30pm. Performances for this return engagement — its fifth year at Merchant's House Museum — begin on November 30.

John Kevin Jones will once again portray Dickens as he tells the tale in the Greek Revival parlor of the landmark 1832 museum. The one-hour performance, created from Dickens's own script and directed by Rhonda Dodd, transports audiences back 150 years in a setting surrounded by 19th-century holiday decorations, flickering candles, and richly appointed period furnishings.

Pre-performance receptions with Jones will also be held before Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening performances beginning December 7 at 6pm, with a 5pm reception on Christmas Eve. Mulled wine and light fare will be served in the venue's cozy mid-19th-century kitchen.
