Kathleeen Chalfant and Patricia Elliott will star in Vita & Virginia, adapted by Eileen Atkins from the correspondence between writers Virginia Woolf and Vita Sackville-West. Pamela Berlin will direct the play, to be presented by the No Frills Company on Monday nights at the Zipper Factory, February 11-April 28. All performances are at 7pm.

The play takes place in the 1920s and 1930s and through the first years of WWII. It deals, in a very timely way, with women seeking their place in the world as they face personal and professional conflicts as well as the looming world war.

Chalfant received Tony and Drama Desk nominations for Angels in America and the Drama Desk, OBIE, Lucille Lortel, and Outer Critics awards for Wit. She will also be appearing this season in Dead Man's Cell Phone. Her additional stagecredits include A Hard Heart, Racing Demon, M. Butterfly, and Spalding Gray: Stories Left to Tell.

Elliott won the Tony, Drama Desk, and Theatre World Awards for A Little Night Music, and was also Tony-nominated for The Shadow Box. Her additional Broadway credits include A Month of Sundays, 13 Rue de l'Amour, and Tartuffe. Additionally, she is well-known to TV viewers as Renee Buchanan on the ABC daytime drama One Life to Live.

Atkins, an award-winning actress, starred with Vanessa Redgrave in the original Off-Broadway production of Vita & Virginia. She also co-created the TV series Upstairs, Downstairs, and won the Evening Standard Award for Best Film Script for Mrs. Dalloway. Berlin's directing credits include End Papers, Steel Magnolias, To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday, and The Cemetery Club.
