Tony Award nominee John Dossett, Rebecca Brooksher, and Michael Shulman will star in the New York premiere of J.T. Rogers’ White People, to begin performances on January 28 at the Atlantic Stage 2. The production, which will open officially on February 3, will be directed by Gus Reyes.

The play follows the lives of three ordinary Americans — an attorney, a housewife, and a young professor — who wrestle with guilt and prejudice. Rogers is best known as the author of The Overwhelming.

Dossett received a Tony nomination for Gypsy and has starred on Broadway in Mamma Mia!, The Constant Wife, and Dinner at Eight. Brooksher starred in Lincoln Center’s production of Dying City. Shulman’s stage credits include Four Baboons Adoring the Sun, Assassins, and Les Miserables.
