A new production of David Mamet's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, Glengarry Glen Ross, starring Oscar and Tony Award winner Al Pacino, is aiming for a Broadway run during the 2012-2013 season, according to a report in The New York Times. Tony winner Daniel Sullivan would direct the production.

The play -- which debuted on Broadway in 1984 and was revived in 2005 -- concerns the cut-throat competiton among men in a real-estate office. Pacino (who appeared in the film version) would reportedly play the office's elder statesman, Shelley Levine.

Pacino most recently appeared on Broadway in The Merchant of Venice, for which he received a Tony nomination. He received Tony Awards for The Basic Training of Pavlo Hummel and Does a Tiger Wear a Necktie?. He received the Academy Award for Scent of a Woman.
