Gavin Creel Will Bring His Award-Winning Elder Price to Broadway's Book of Mormon

The Broadway vet won a 2013 WhatsOnStage Award for his London performance as the sweet-voiced Mormon missionary.

Gavin Creel, a two-time Tony nominee for Hair and Thoroughly Modern Millie, will return to Broadway in the hit musical The Book of Mormon at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre. Creel created the role of Elder Price in the musical's London premiere, winning a WhatsOnStage Award for his performance. Creel was also seen in the role on the first U.S. national tour. The actor will begin on Broadway on Tuesday, January 6, 2015. Nic Rouleau, Broadway's current Elder Price, will play his final performance on Sunday, January 4, before joining the London company of the musical on Monday, February 2, 2015.

In addition to his work in Hair and Thoroughly Modern Millie, Creel was seen on Broadway in the 2004 revival of La Cage aux Folles.
The Book of Mormon features book, music, and lyrics by Trey Parker, Robert Lopez, and Matt Stone. The production is choreographed by Casey Nicholaw and is directed by Nicholaw and Parker. The musical features set design by Scott Pask, costume design by Ann Roth, lighting design by Brian MacDevitt, and sound design by Brian Ronan. Orchestrations are by Larry Hochman and Stephen Oremus. Music direction and vocal arrangements are by Stephen Oremus.
