Elizabeth Ashley, Zachary Booth, Stephen Payne, Lily Rabe, et al. to Be Part of Playwrights Horizons’ 2010-2011 Season

Playwrights Horizons has announced complete casting for Edward Albee’s Me Myself and I, which will begin performances on August 24 in anticipation of an official opening on September 12.

Emily Mann will direct the play, which focuses on a mother who can’t tell her identical twins apart and how the men, both named Otto, takes sibling rivalry to existential heights. The play originally premiered at New Jersey’s McCarter Theatre.

In addition to the previously announced Elizabeth Ashley and Brian Murray, the company will feature Zachary Booth, Natalia Payne, Stephen Payne, and Preston Sadleir.

Lily Rabe will star in Bathsheba Doran’s Kin, to be directed by Sam Gold, which centers on the unlikely romance between a Texan Ivy League poetry scholar and an Irish personal trainer. The production is scheduled to run in spring 2011. Rabe is currently appearing in the Public Theater’s production of The Merchant of Venice

As previously announced, the season will also include the world premiere of Adam Bock’s A Small Fire; David Greenspan’s Go Back to Where You Are; Amy Herzog’s After the Revolution, and the musical, The Shaggs.
