Eddie Redmayne to Co-Star with Blake Lively in Hick Film

Tony Award winner Eddie Redmayne will co-star along with Blake Lively and Chloe Moretz in the independent film, Hick, according to a report in Variety. The film will feature a screenplay by Andrea Portes, adapted from her novel, and direction by Derick Martini.

The story centers on a 13-year-old girl (Moretz), who journeys to Las Vegas, encountering a grifter (Lively) who takes her under her wing, as well as a loner (Redmayne) who tries to lure her away.

Redmayne won the 2010 Tony for Best Supporting Actor in a Play for Red. He also starred in the Almeida Theatre’s production of The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia? His film and television credits include Pillars of the Earth, Elizabeth, Tess of the D’Urbervilles, The Other Boleyn Girl, and the forthcoming My Week With Marilyn.
