David Mamet, Michael Cristofer, Kathleen Turner, and More Celebrate the Opening Night of Really Really
Paul Downs Colaizzo's new off-Broadway play stars Matt Lauria and Zosia Mamet.
Directed by Drama Desk nominee David Cromer (Tribes), the college drama stars Zosia Mamet (Girls), Matt Lauria (Friday Night Lights), Lauren Culpepper, David Hull (Wicked), Evan Jonigkeit (High), Kobi Libii (CQ/CX), and Aleque Reid (Hair). Really Really premiered regionally at the Signature Theatre in Arlington, VA, last February, before transferring to New York. Really Really is young playwright Paul Downs Colaizzo's New York debut.
In the play, the aftermath of a wild party turns ugly when gossip about an alleged drunken tryst between nice guy rugby player Davis (Lauria) and the ambitious Leigh (Mamet) is spread.
The creative team includes J. David Brimmer (violence consultant), Daniel Kluger (sound design and original composition), Drama Desk award winner David Korins (scenic design), Sarah Laux (costume design), Ashley Ryan (make-up designer), and David Wiener (lighting design).
Guests at the opening included Walter Bobbie (Venus in Fur), David Mamet (Race), Kathleen Turner (Cat on a Hot Tin Roof) and more.
