Chase, McDonald, Oscar, Pasquale, et al. Join Play on Broadway Benefit

Judy Blazer, Will Chase, John Dossett, Manoel Feliciano, Audra McDonald, Brad Oscar, Steven Pasquale, and Jennifer Simard have joined the celebrity line-up for Play on Broadway at 7:30pm on Sunday, October 16 at the Roundabout’s Laura Pels Theater (111 W. 46th Street).

Comedian Julie Halston will host the event, which is a benefit for three charities: The Todd Lundquist Benefit Fund, Fractured Atlas, and The Actors’ Fund of America. Lundquist, the assistant director of The Pillowman suffered a massive seizure last summer, and needs continued treatment. He has no health insurance.

Other stars scheduled to participate include newlywed couples Laura Benanti and Chris Barron, and Kate Baldwin and Grahan Rowat, as well as Michael Arden, Anastasia Barzee, Tituss Burgess, Michael Cerveris, Lori Chase, Didi Conn, Scott Ellis, Merwin Foard, Hunter Foster, Jenn Gambatese, Alexander Gemignani, Mark Kudisch, Megan McGinnis, Gerry McIntyre, Matthew Morrison, and Allison Walla. The evening, to be produced by Susan Vargo, will be directed by Jen Bender with musical direction by Mary-Mitchell Campbell.

In this one-night-only event, these celebrities will play alongside audience members in special versions of such TV game shows as The Newlywed Game, Beat the Clock, and Name That Tune for the chance to win fabulous prizes. To date, the event has received over $10,000 in prize donations, including a weekend stay at Chicago’s famous Hotel Monaco (plus two tickets to Wicked at the Ford Center for the Performing Arts), a two-night weekend romance at the Hotel Vintage Plaza in Portland, Oregon, and a weekend stay at San Francisco’s Hotel Griffon.

Tickets for Play on Broadway are $75 (mezzanine), $150 (rear orchestra) and $275 (orchestra, plus admission to the exclusive post-show celebration at Bolzano’s).
