Andrea Marcovicci’s Smile CD to Receive Septmber 4 Release

Broadway and cabaret star Andrea Marcovicci will release her new CD, Smile, on CDBaby.com on Tuesday, September 4.


The recording is based on her newest show, which will next be seen at New York’s Cafe Carlyle, October 2-27. Selections include “It’s Only A Paper Moon,” “Ain’t We Got Fun,” Shakespeare Lied,” “You Make Me Feel So Young,” and the title song.


The CD features musical director and arranger Shelly Markham on piano, Kevin Axt on bass, M.B. Gordy on drums/percussion, Grant Geissman on guitar, banjo, and ukelele, Giovanna Clayton on cello, Jeff Brunnell on cornet, flugelhorn, and trumpet, and James Honeyman on tenor and soprano saxophone.


Marcovicci has been seen on Broadway in such shows as Ambassador and Any Given Day; played Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, and the Algonquin Hotel’s Oak Room; appeared in numerous films and television shows, including The Front, Love is a Many Splendored Thing, and General Hospital; and released numerous other recordings.
