Five Lesbian Brothers Win Lambda Literary Award

The Five Lesbian Brothers — the theatre collective consisting of Maureen Angelos, Dominique Dibbell, Peg Healey, Lisa Kron, and Babs Davy — won a 2011 Lambda Literary Award in the LGBT Drama category for their play, Oedipus at Palm Springs. The awards were presented last night at a ceremony in New York at the School of Visual Arts Theater.

The play — which is authored by Angelos, Dibbell, Healey, and Kron — is a reworking of the classic Greek tragedy, involving two lesbian couples and a blind prophet at an all-women desert resort.
