Lewis Black, Heather Lind, Finn Wittrock Set for Williamstown Theatre Festival Fourth of July Festivities
The Fourth of July Parade will kick off the festivities at 11am on Spring Street and will feature residents marching alongside stars from the Williamstown Theatre Festival's 2012 season. Following the parade, WCMA, WTF, and Chapin Library will present A Reading of the Founding Documents at 1:30 pm on the lawn outside WCMA. Current WTF performers Heather Lind and Finn Wittrock will read the Declaration of Independence followed by a reading of the British reply by comedian and WTF favorite Lewis Black.
The day will come to a close with a production of Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest at 7:30 pm. In this new production directed by Tony Award winner David Hyde Pierce, a family of Guys and Dolls-style gangsters move to Downtown Abbey-style London in order to escape certain entanglements.
