Karen Black and David Proval will star in Ellen Malayer's Moses Supposes, to run October 8 - December 4 at the Zephyr Theatre. Lee Sankowich will direct the production.

The comedy centers on a couple (played by Black and Proval) whose adult children have returned to their Southern Jewish home to throw their parents a 35th wedding anniversary party. But everyone has chosen this same weekend to reveal their own surprises, and the ensuing mishegas turns the celebration upside down. The company will also feature Elijah Kranski and Sarah Sankowich.

Black's stage credits include The Playroom, Come Back to the Five and Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean, and The Vagina Monologues. Among her many film credits are her Oscar-nominated performance in Five Easy Pieces, as well as The Day of the Locust, Easy Rider, Nashville, and Family Plan.

Proval's stage credits include Requiem for a Heavyweight on Broadway, as well as regional appearances. On screen he has appeared in such films as Mean Streets, Romeo Is Bleeding, Hollywood Dreams, and The Shawshank Redemption.
