Full casting has been announced for Sean Foley’s production of Joe Orton’s What the Butler Saw, which will begin previews May 4 in advance of a May 16 opening at the Vaudeville Theatre.

Joining the previously announced Omid Djalili (who will play Dr. Rance) are Samantha Bond (Mrs. Prentice), Nick Hendrix (Nicholas Beckett), Tim McInnerny (Dr. Prentice), Georgia Moffett (Geraldine Barclay), and Jason Thorpe (Sergeant Match).

The sex farce, completed less than a month before Orton’s death, opens with a psychoanalyst instructing his new secretary to undress, only to be interrupted by his wife, her blackmailing lover, a government inspector, and a policeman.

Bond is best known for her performances as Miss Moneypenny in the James Bond film franchise, and has recently appeared on stage in An Ideal Husband and on television in Downton Abbey. McInnerny has been seen in four seasons of Blackadder and on film in Notting Hill, among others. Moffett’s credits include Doctor Who (Jenny) on television and Getting Through on stage.
