NT Live to Air All's Well That End's Well, Starring Clare Higgins, Worldwide on October 1 logo
New York's Brooklyn Academy of Music, Washington D.C.'s Shakespeare Theatre, Cape Cod's Wellfleet Harbor Actors' Theatre, and the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis will be among the venues to screen Marianne Elliott's staging of All's Well That Ends Well, starring Clare Higgins as the Countess of Rossillion, as part of the National Theatre's NT Live broadcast series on October 1.

Set against a background of sexism, snobbery and a battle between the generations, All's Well That Ends Well follows the story of the feisty but lowly Helena who falls in love with Bertram, a haughty count. The cast also includes Oliver Ford Davies (as the King of France), Conleth Hill (Parolles), George Rainsford (Bertram), and Michelle Terry (Helena).

These performances, filmed live at the National in high definition, are broadcast via satellite to over 60 UK cinemas outside of London, as well as 170 venues around the world, including venues in the United States, Canada, Australia, South Africa, Scandinavia and continental Europe. NT Live began this summer with a broadcast of Phedre, starring Helen Mirren.

As previously announced, the NT Live series will also include Mark Ravenhill's adaptation of Terry Pratchett's novel Nation, which will air January 30. The world premiere of Alan Bennett's latest play The Habit of Art, which stars Michael Gambon, Alex Jennings, and Frances de la Tour, will be aired on April 22.
