Lin-Manuel Miranda and Emily Blunt in First Mary Poppins Returns Trailer
The new film will be released on Christmas Day.
The first trailer for the new Disney film Mary Poppins Returns, starring Emily Blunt and Lin-Manuel Miranda, has been released. Watch it below:
Inspired by the stories in P.L. Travers's seven Mary Poppins novels, Mary Poppins Returns will reportedly take place in Depression-era London and follow a now-grown Jane and Michael Banks, who, along with Michael's three children, are visited by the enigmatic Mary Poppins following a personal loss. Directed by Rob Marshall, the film is written by David Magee, with songs by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman.
The company is led by Blunt in the title role, with Miranda as Jack, a lamplighter, as well as Meryl Streep, Ben Whishaw, Emily Mortimer, Colin Firth, Julie Walters, Angela Lansbury, and Dick Van Dyke.
The film is set for release on December 25.
