Gemma Atkinson, June Brown, Jill Halfpenny, and More to Star in London’s Calendar Girls Beginning in July

A new cast will take over the West End production of Tim Firth’s Calendar Girls, adapted from his 2003 screenplay, at West End’s Noel Coward Theatre, from July 28 to October 17. Hamish McColl directs.

The play is about a group of middle-aged English women who pose for a racy calendar, and will star Gemma Atkinson as Elaine, Jill Baker as Annie – Miss February, June Brown as Jessie – Miss January, Richenda Carey as Marie, Sara Crowe as Ruth – Miss November, Anita Dobson as Chris – Miss October, Jill Halfpenny as Cora – Miss July, Jerry Hall as Celia – Miss September, and Jack Ryder as photographer Lawrence.

The production features a set by Robert Jones, lighting by Malcolm Rippeth, costumes by Emma Williams, and music by Steve Parry.

The show currently stars Lynda Bellingham, Patricia Hodge, Sian Phillips, Gaynor Faye, Brigit Forsyth, Julia Hills, Elaine C Smith, Joan Blackham, Abby Francis, Gary Lilburn, Gerard McDermot, and Carl Prekopp.
