Edward Hall Appointed Artistic Director of Hampstead Theatre
In addition to his work with Propeller -- which he will continue to lead -- Hall is also an associate director of the National Theatre, the Watermill Theatre (Propeller's home base) and the Old Vic. His many stage credits include The Deep Blue Sea with Greta Scacchi, Macbeth with Sean Bean, Calico and The Constant Wife in the West End; Edmond with Kenneth Branagh, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum and Once in a Lifetime at the National; and Henry V at the RSC.
On Broadway, he staged A Streetcar Named Desire with the late Natasha Richardson. He received an Olivier Award nomination for his direction of Rose Rage, his two-part adaptation of Shakespeare's Henry VI trilogy, which also played New York's Duke on 42nd Street.
