Kathleen Turner will direct and star in Jeffrey Hatcher’s new adaptation of Frank Marcus’ The Killing of Sister George at the
Long Wharf Theatre, November 28-December 23. The production replaces the previously announced God of Carnage.

In the comedy, Turner plays the gin swilling, cigar chomping June Buckridge, a radio star who plays the kindly Sister George on the hit program Applehurst. When the ratings fall and Sister George is dispatched, June refuses to go away.

Turner’s Broadway credits include Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, The Graduate, and High. Her films include Body Heat, The War of the Roses, and Peggy Sue Got Married.
