Watch the Stoppard-ian Antics of Tom Hollander and More in Broadway's Travesties

The Roundabout Theatre Company transfer of the Menier Chocolate Factory’s production is directed by Patrick Marber.

Roundabout Theatre Company has released video highlights from its currently running production of Tom Stoppard's Travesties, which recently began previews ahead of its April 24 opening night. The show, a transfer of the Menier Chocolate Factory's original staging, is running through June 17 at the American Airlines Theatre.

Directed by Patrick Marber, Travesties tells the story of Henry Carr (Hollander), an elderly man who begins to recall his adventures in Zürich during World War I, during which time he interacted with James Joyce as he was writing Ulysses, Dadaist Tristan Tzara, and Lenin on the eve of the Russian Revolution. The play, first produced on Broadway in 1975, earned a Tony Award for Best Play.

The cast features Tom Hollander as Henry Carr, Peter McDonald as James Joyce, Seth Numrich as Tristan Tzara, Scarlett Strallen as Gwendolen, Sara Topham as Cecily, Opal Alladin as Nadya, Dan Butler as Lenin, and Patrick Kerr as Bennett.

The creative team includes Tim Hatley (set and costume design), Neil Austin (lighting design), Adam Cork (sound design and original music), and Polly Bennett (movement).
