Surprise! Carole King Takes the Stage at Beautiful's Fifth Anniversary Performance

Watch the music icon perform her legendary songs on stage at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre.

Carole King made her official Broadway debut — as herself — in celebration of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical's fifth anniversary on Broadway. King made a surprise appearance at the end of the January 12 performance, taking the stage to perform the show's grand finale, and later joining the cast for a full company bow. With a book by Douglas McGrath and songs from the catalogue of Gerry Goffin, Carole King, Barry Mann, and Cynthia Weil, Beautiful officially opened at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre on January 12, 2014. The show follows the life and career of singer-songwriter King and colleagues Goffin, Mann, and Weil, and features songs including "Will You Love Me Tomorrow," "One Fine Day," and "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman."

Beautiful currently stars Chilina Kennedy as Carole King, Evan Todd as Gerry Goffin, Kate Reinders as Cynthia Weil, Ben Jacoby as Barry Mann, Paul Anthony Stewart as Don Kirshner, and original cast member Liz Larsen as Genie Klein.
