Shoshana Bean to Take Over Role of Jenna in Waitress

The ”Hairspray” and ”Wicked” star will begin a limited run in the Sara Bareilles musical in March.

The producers of Broadway's Waitress have announced that Shoshana Bean (Hairspray, Wicked) will take over the role of Jenna for a limited run March 18-May 12.

Waitress opened at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre on April 24, 2016, earning Tony nominations for Best Musical and Best Original Score. The musical features music and lyrics by Sara Bareilles, a book by Jessie Nelson, and direction by Diane Paulus.

The production currently stars Stephanie Torns as Jenna and Joey McIntyre as Dr. Pomatter, in addition to Charity Angél Dawson, Lenne Klingaman, Ben Thompson, Larry Marshall, Benny Elledge, Eddie Jemison, Regan Ciccarelli, Riley Summer Perler, Tyrone Davis Jr., Law Terrell Dunford, Andrew Fitch, Molly Hager, Jessie Hooker-Bailey, Arica Jackson, Molly Jobe, Brandon Kalm, Anastacia McCleskey, and Dan Tracy.
