Fiddler on the Roof and She Loves Me Scribe Sheldon Harnick Gets Sardi's Portrait

He's got three Tony Awards, a Pulitzer Prize, and two shows opening on Broadway this season. Now, at 91 years old, prolific musical-theater lyricist Sheldon Harnick has received another major honor: a portrait for the walls of the famed theater-district restaurant Sardi's.
Joining Harnick at the unveiling ceremony were cast members from the current Broadway revival of his musical Fiddler on the Roof, stars from the upcoming Broadway revival of She Loves Me, and many others. Check out TheaterMania's photos in the gallery below.
Bartlett Sher's revival of Fiddler on the Roof, starring Danny Burstein and Jessica Hecht, is currently in previews at the Broadway Theatre. Scott Ellis' revival of She Loves Me, starring Laura Benanti and Zachary Levi, begins performances February 19 at Studio 54. Harnick is also the coauthor of the shows Fiorello!, The Apple Tree, and The Rothschilds, among others.
