Samuel French has released a new, limited edition published script of Mart Crowley's The Boys in the Band.

The new edition contains both Crowley's original two-act script and his newly revised one-act Broadway version, as well as an introduction by playwright Tony Kushner. The release is timed for the drama's 50th anniversary revival at the Booth Theatre, directed by Joe Mantello.

Featured in the cast of the Broadway production are Jim Parsons (Michael), Zachary Quinto (Harold), Matt Bomer (Donald), Andrew Rannells (Larry), Charlie Carver (Cowboy), Robin De Jesús (Emory), Brian Hutchison (Alan), Michael Benjamin Washington (Bernard), and Tuc Watkins (Hank).

Crowley's 1968 comic drama centers on a group of gay men who gather in a NYC apartment for a friend's birthday party. After the drinks are poured and the music turned up, the evening slowly exposes the fault lines beneath their friendships and the self-inflicted heartache that threatens their solidarity.

The Boys in the Band is produced on Broadway by Ryan Murphy and David Stone.
