Kara Lindsay will return to the Broadway cast of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre beginning Tuesday, July 12. She reprises the role of Cynthia Weil, which she performed from September-December 2017. Jessica Keenan Wynn, who currently plays Weil, will play her final show on Sunday, July 8, ahead of the July 20 film premiere of Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, in which she stars as Young Tanya.

With a book by Douglas McGrath and songs from the catalogue of Gerry Goffin, Carole King, Barry Mann, and Cynthia Weil, Beautiful officially opened at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre on January 12, 2014. The show follows the life and career of singer-songwriter King and colleagues Goffin, Mann, and Weil, and features songs including "Will You Love Me Tomorrow," "One Fine Day," and "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman."

Lindsay's previous Broadway credits include Glinda in Wicked and Katherine in the original cast of Newsies. She joins a cast that currently features Melissa Benoist as Carole King (through August 4), Ben Jacoby as Barry Mann, Evan Todd as Gerry Goffin, Paul Anthony Stewart as Don Kirshner, and Nancy Opel as Genie Klein.
