John Leguizamo's Latin History for Morons Opens on Broadway Tonight

The solo show previously played at Berkeley Repertory Theatre and the Public Theater.

After starting previews on October 19, John Leguizamo's Latin History for Morons opens at Studio 54 tonight for a limited engagement through February 2018. Directed by Tony Taccone, the show comes to Broadway following coproductions at Berkeley Repertory Theatre and the Public Theater. Watch a trailer for the show below.

Inspired by the near-total absence of Latinos in his son's American history class, Latin History for Morons is Leguizamo's frenzied search to find a Latin hero for his son's school project. From a mad recap of the Aztec empire to stories of unknown Latin patriots of the Revolutionary War and beyond, Leguizamo breaks down the 3,000 years between the Mayans and Ricky Ricardo into an irreverent and concise history lesson.
