The world premiere of a musical inspired by the classic television series Green Acres is in the works.

The Broadway-bound Green Acres the Musical tells the story of a New York attorney and his fashion designer wife who give up the high life to go back to basics. With book, music, and lyrics by Tor Hyams and Lisa Rothauser, the musical will be directed by Thomas Caruso.

Green Acres the Musical is one of many shows included in the launch of Pam Laudenslager and Colleen Lober's Center Stage Capital, Inc., a new entertainment company that will present a portfolio of productions.

Also on tap are the off-Broadway bound Mother Eve's Secret Garden of Sensual Sisterhood, written by Erica Jensen, Uma Incrocci, Kirk McGee, and Christian Pedersen; Empyrea, written by Tracey Corea and Colleen Lober; and David Hume Kennerly's In the Room.
