Cast of The Boys in the Band to Host Midnight Performance of Three Tall Women
Joe Mantello directs both productions.
The Broadway premiere of Three Tall Women has announced that the entire cast of the Broadway premiere of The Boys in the Band will host the previously announced special midnight performance of the Edward Albee play on May 17 to benefit the Actors Fund. Both productions are directed by Joe Mantello.
The cast of the 50th anniversary production of Mart Crowley's play includes Jim Parsons, Zachary Quinto, Matt Bomer, Andrew Rannells, Charlie Carver, Robin De Jesús, Brian Hutchison, Michael Benjamin Washington, and Tuc Watkins. The Boys in the Band is now in previews at the Booth Theatre, ahead of opening night on May 31.
Three Tall Women stars Tony Award nominee Glenda Jackson, Tony winner Laurie Metcalf, and Tony nominee Alison Pill. The play opened at the Vineyard Theatre in 1994 and won the Pulitzer Prize as well as the New York Drama Critics Circle, Lucille Lortel, and Outer Critics Circle Awards for Best Play. This production has scenic design by Miriam Buether, costume design by Ann Roth, and lighting design by Brian MacDevitt.
