Based on the 1993 film, Groundhog Day is the story of Phil Connors, a disgruntled big-city weatherman mysteriously stuck in small-town America reliving the same day, Groundhog Day, over and over and over again. It features a score by Matilda The Musical composer Tim Minchin, and is directed by Matlida's Matthew Warchus, with original screen writer Danny Rubin providing the book.

The cast of Groundhog Day features Andy Karl as Phil Connors, reprising the role after a successful run at the Old Vic in London last summer. Newcomer Barrett Doss (You Can't Take It With You) stars opposite Karl as Rita Hanson.
