Bandstand's Corey Cott Receives a Sardi's Portrait

Cott’s family and his costar Laura Osnes joined him to receive the Broadway rite of passage.

Bandstand star Corey Cott received a Sardi's portrait on Friday, August 11, and celebrated the occasion with his spouse Meg Cott and costar Laura Osnes.

Cott made his Broadway debut as an understudy and eventual replacement for the Jack Kelly role in Newsies. In early 2015, he joined the company of Gigi for its engagement at The Kennedy Center and Broadway later that year. October 2015 saw Cott join costar Osnes for Bandstand's Paper Mill Playhouse premiere and eventual Broadway premiere on March 31, 2017.

Bandstand is directed by Andy Blankenbuehler, who took home this year's Best Choreography Tony Award. The show features music by Richard Oberacker and a book and lyrics by Robert Taylor and Oberacker. Cott and Osnes are joined in the cast by Tony Award winner Beth Leavel, Joe Carroll, Brandon J. Ellis, James Nathan Hopkins, Geoff Packard, and Joey Pero.
