Bandstand's Broadway Cast Album Now Streaming Online

Broadway Records and Yellow Sound Label have announced that original Broadway cast recording of Bandstand has newly begun streaming on Spotify and Apple Music, to coincide with Fathom's previously announced two-night encore in cinemas.

Due to the success of the initial theatrical release, Fathom Events is bringing the Broadway musical Bandstand back to cinemas nationwide on November 15 and 19 in celebration of Veterans Day. The show previously screened nationally on June 25 and 28.

The 2017 musical earned Andy Blankenbuehler a Tony Award for his choreography. Also directed by Blankenbuehler, Bandstand was written by Richard Oberacker and Rob Taylor. The story follows a group of soldiers who have just returned home from the front lines of World War II. When this motley assortment of men is given an important opportunity, one that involves music, they find themselves opening up in ways that make them feel whole again.

Bandstand: The Broadway Musical on Screen is presented in special partnership with the military nonprofit TAPS, "which cares for the families of America's fallen heroes." The Broadway musical was also the first live entertainment production ever to be "6 Certified" by Got Your 6 for its accurate portrayal of the veteran experience. In addition to the feature, audiences will enjoy behind-the-scenes footage of the production.

The Broadway cast was led by Corey Cott and Laura Osnes, joined by Beth Leavel, Joe Carroll, Brandon James Ellis, James Nathan Hopkins, and Geoff Packard. The creative team included Paloma Young (costumes), Nevin Steinberg (sound), David Korins (set), and Jeff Croiter (lighting).

Bandstand ran at the Paper Mill Playhouse before transferring to Broadway in March 2017.
