Broadway's American Psycho to Offer $19.89 Tickets

The musical adaptation begins performances at the Schoenfeld Theatre later this month.

American Psycho, which begins its Broadway run March 24, will offer $19.89 tickets for six select preview performances. The tickets will go on sale on Saturday, March 5, from 10am-noon and will be available in person only at the Schoenfeld Theatre box office (236 West 45th Street).

Referencing the year in which American Psycho is set, the specially priced tickets are being offered in celebration of the 25th anniversary of Bret Easton Ellis' book upon which the new musical is based.

The $19.89 tickets (subject to availability) will be offered for the following performances only: Monday, March 28, at 8pm; Tuesday, March 29, at 8pm; Wednesday, March 30, at 8pm; Monday, April 4, at 8pm; Tuesday, April 5, at 8pm; and Wednesday, April 6, at 8pm. Purchases will be limited to two tickets per order.

Benjamin Walker (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson) leads the company as Patrick Bateman, a 1980s banker who leads a secret double life as a serial killer. Tony winner Alice Ripley (Next to Normal) takes on the roles of Patrick Bateman's mother and Mrs. Wolfe, alongside Jennifer Damiano (Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark) as Jean, and Heléne Yorke (Bullets Over Broadway) as Evelyn Williams.

Directed by Rupert Goold, the production features a score by Duncan Sheik and book by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.

The show's official opening is set for April 20.
