Adrienne Warren to Star on Broadway as Tina Turner

Warren will bring her acclaimed West End performance to New York City.

Tony nominee Adrienne Warren will reprise her acclaimed West End performance as Tina Turner in the Broadway premiere of Tina — The Tina Turner Musical, set to have its New York premiere in this fall.

Directed by Phyllida Lloyd and written by Katori Hall with Frank Ketelaar and Kees Prins, Tina explores the rise of musician Tina Turner, from her humble beginnings in Nutbush, Tennessee, to her transformation into the global Queen of Rock 'n' Roll. It premiered in April 2018 at the Aldwych Theater in London.

The production will have choreography by Anthony van Laast, with set and costume designs by Mark Thompson, musical supervision, additional music and arrangements by Nicholas Skilbeck, lighting by Bruno Poet, sound by Nevin Steinberg, projection design by Jeff Sugg, and orchestrations by Ethan Popp.

Warren stars in the West End production through April 13. Additional information, including dates, further casting, and Broadway theater, will be confirmed in the coming months.
