The American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, Massachusetts has announced that two-time Tony Award winner James Earl Jones will lead the cast of The Night of the Iguana, running from February 18-March 18.

Directed by Michael Wilson, The Night of the Iguana is a 1961 play by Tennessee Williams. The story follows a hotel proprietress and the scandal-soaked Southern preacher who turns up on her veranda. A Nantucket portrait artist traveling with her ancient grandfather, a bus full of fuming Texan college administrators, and a party of vacationers round out the roster of misfits in this drama about how far we travel to outrun the demons within.

Jones has earned Tony Awards for his performances in The Great White Hope and Fences, and has earned nominations for his roles in On Golden Pond and Gore Vidal's The Best Man. His most recent Broadway credits include the 2014 revival of You Can't Take It With You and the 2015 revival of The Gin Game.

Additional casting for The Night of the Iguana will be announced at a later date.
