Cox, Innvar, King, Long, Robinette Set for STC’s The Way of the World

Full cast and creative team have been announced for the Shakespeare Theatre Company’s production of William Congreve’s The Way of the World, September 30-November 16. The production, which will open officially on October 6, will be directed by Michael Kahn.

This English comedy of manners sends up courtship and marriage, as it tells of clever and conniving lovers Mirabell and Miramant who try to pursue a true “marriage of the minds.”

The cast features Veanne Cox (Millamant), Christopher Innvar (Mirabell), Floyd King (Witwoud), Andrew Long (Fainall), Nancy Robinette (Lady Wishfort), Coleen Delany (Foible), Julie-Ann Elliot (Mincing), Barbara Garrick (Mrs. Fainall), Deanne Lorette (Miss Marwood), and Peter Boyer, Stephen J. Hoochuk, Doug Rees, Todd Scofield, and J. Fred Shiffman.

The creative team includes Wilson Chin (sets), Jane Greenwood (costumes), Charlie Morrison (lighting), and Adam Wernick (original music). Kahn is the company’s artistic director.
