Daryl Roth and Scott Davenport will be honored by the Family Equality Council at its Night at the Pier celebration on May 8.

The event will mark the 30th anniversary of the organization, which connects, supports, and represents the one million lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender parents raising two million children in the United States.

Roth will be honored for her long-standing support of the LGBT community, and her efforts to bring the 2011 Tony Award-winning revival of Larry Kramer's The Normal Heart to Broadway. Davenport, a co-founder of Family Week, was granted the first co-parent adoption in the District of Columbia and was instrumental in the formation of the organization Rainbow Families of DC.
